FGR-TPV-015 Tanks, vessels and gas equipment

Cryogenic air separation unit (ASU) for oxygen, nitrogen and argon, 50 to 5,000 Nm³/h

A cryogenic air separation plant that liquefies and fractionally distils atmospheric air to produce high-purity oxygen and nitrogen, with optional argon recovery.

  • Specification confirmed with the OEM before you order
  • Warranty and support set out in your quotation
  • Freight to your site or port available

Overview

Cryogenic air separation units compress, purify and cool ambient air until it liquefies, then separate it into its components by fractional distillation in an insulated cold box. They are used where large volumes of high-purity oxygen, nitrogen and/or argon are needed as gas or as liquid product for storage and distribution. Plants are typically engineered to the customer's required outputs, purities and site conditions.

Typical applications

  • Bulk liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen production
  • Industrial gas supply to steel, smelting and chemical plants
  • Medical oxygen production
  • Cylinder and bulk tanker filling
  • Argon and rare gas recovery
