Overview
Safety footwear protects against falling objects, crushing and sharp objects underfoot, with the protection class (such as S1 or S3) indicating which additional properties are included. Selection depends on site hazards (puncture, water, oils, slip, electrical), the sole material and slip rating, toe-cap and midsole type, comfort for long shifts and correct sizing.
