Overview

Industrial safety helmets protect the wearer's head against falling objects and impacts, using a rigid shell and an internal suspension harness that spreads and absorbs impact energy. EN 397 is the European standard for industrial safety helmets and ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 is the US equivalent; electrically insulating helmets may additionally meet EN 50365 for work near live low-voltage installations. Options include vented or non-vented shells, ratchet or slip adjustment and accessory slots for ear defenders and visors.

Typical applications

  • Head protection on construction sites
  • Mining and quarry operations
  • Plant maintenance and industrial workshops
  • Electrical work near live LV installations (non-vented, EN 50365 version)
