Overview
Inverter welding machines convert mains power to a high switching frequency before stepping it down, which makes them lighter and more efficient than transformer welders. Selection is driven by the supply available on site (single- or three-phase), the current range and duty cycle needed for the plate thickness being welded, and whether a built-in or separate wire feeder suits the work.
