Flanged floating ball valve
A quarter-turn, straight-through floating ball valve with ANSI flanged ends, offered in carbon steel or stainless steel bodies.
- Specification confirmed with the OEM before you order
- Warranty and support set out in your quotation
- Freight to your site or port available
Overview
In a floating ball valve the bored ball is held between two seats and pressed against the downstream seat by line pressure, giving tight shut-off with a quarter turn. Flanged ends bolt directly into piping systems, and valves can be operated by lever, gearbox or pneumatic/electric actuators. They are used for on/off isolation of water, steam, oil, gas and process chemicals.
Typical applications
- Pipeline isolation
- Process plant on/off service
- Water and steam lines
- Oil and gas utility lines
- Automated valve packages with actuators
