Flanged swing check valves

FGR-PVH-012 Pumps, valves and hydraulics

Cast steel swing check valve

A non-return valve whose hinged disc swings open with forward flow and closes against its seat to stop reverse flow.

  • Specification confirmed with the OEM before you order
  • Warranty and support set out in your quotation
  • Freight to your site or port available

Overview

Swing check valves protect pumps and pipework from backflow and are widely used on water, oil, gas and steam lines because of their low pressure drop when fully open. Selection depends on the size and ANSI pressure class, body and trim materials for the medium and temperature, end connections, installation orientation, and the risk of slam on rapid flow reversal.

Typical applications

  • Pump discharge non-return protection
  • Oil and gas pipelines
  • Process plant and utility pipework
  • Water transmission lines
