Helical in-line gear reducer (gearmotor)

A coaxial helical gear reducer, usually supplied with a flanged electric motor, that reduces motor speed and increases output torque for driven machinery.

  • Specification confirmed with the OEM before you order
  • Warranty and support set out in your quotation
  • Freight to your site or port available

Overview

In-line (coaxial) helical gear units put the input and output shafts on the same axis and use two or three stages of helical gears to reach the required ratio. Selection depends on the required output speed and torque, the service factor for the duty and shock loading, the mounting position and the motor rating and frame.

Typical applications

  • Conveyor and elevator drives
  • Mixer and agitator drives
  • Process machinery and screw feeders
  • Packaging and bottling line drives
