Overview
Oil-immersed distribution transformers use mineral oil for insulation and cooling and are common for outdoor and substation installations. Selection depends on the kVA rating, primary and secondary voltages, vector group, impedance, losses, tapping range and the requirements of the local utility and applicable standards.
