Overview
Fixed gas detectors use catalytic bead sensors for combustible gases and electrochemical cells for toxic gases and oxygen, and are wired to a control panel that raises alarms or trips equipment. Selection depends on the target gas and measuring range, sensor technology, hazardous-area rating, response time, environment and calibration requirements.
