Overview
Screw conveyors are enclosed, compact and dust-tight, and can also meter material from bins and silos or mix it in transit; they are widely used for cement, ash, grain and minerals. Selection depends on the material's bulk density, particle size, abrasiveness and flow behaviour, the required capacity, conveying length and inclination, and the screw diameter, pitch and speed, which together set the drive power.
