Overview

Electric chain hoists use an electric motor, gearbox and brake to drive a load sprocket that raises and lowers a hardened load chain. They are controlled by a pendant or remote and can be fixed or mounted on a manual or motorised trolley running on a beam. They are common in workshops, assembly lines and maintenance bays for lifting up to a few tonnes.
