Overview
Brewery malt mills crush the husk and expose the starchy endosperm without pulverising the husk, which is needed as a filter bed in the lauter tun. Selection depends on throughput relative to brewhouse batch size, the number of roller pairs (two-roller or multi-roller), gap adjustability, motor power and whether a hopper, auger or grist case is supplied.
