Overview
An electromechanical universal testing machine drives a moving crosshead with motor-driven ball screws while a load cell measures applied force. Software records force, displacement and strain to determine properties such as tensile strength, yield point, elongation and compressive strength. Interchangeable grips and fixtures allow tensile, compression, bending, shear, peel and tear tests on metals, plastics, rubber, textiles and composites.
