Overview
In a counter-flow tower the air moves vertically upward against the downward water flow, giving a compact footprint and good thermal performance for a given plan area. Selection depends on water flow rate, hot and cold water temperatures, the design wet-bulb temperature, water quality (which governs fill type) and noise limits.
