Overview
Air-cooled scroll chillers reject heat directly to ambient air through finned coils and fans, so they need no cooling tower or condenser water circuit. Selection is driven by the required cooling load at the design chilled-water temperature, the site's maximum ambient temperature, refrigerant choice, and whether an integral tank and pump are needed.
