Delivery across Southern Africa

We supply cryogenic liquid tanks for oxygen, nitrogen, argon and CO2 to breweries and process plants in South Africa and across the region, in markets such as Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini and Tanzania. Depending on the destination, freight may be routed by road or through the ports of Durban, Maputo, Beira, Walvis Bay or Dar es Salaam. The route, Incoterm and estimated transit time are confirmed in your quotation before you order.

Cryogenic tank questions

Which tank holds 1,000 kg of liquid gas?

Two options fit: a framed 1,000 L liquid cylinder that holds up to 1,010 kg of liquid oxygen, 702 kg of liquid nitrogen, 1,231 kg of liquid argon or 979 kg of liquid CO2, and a 1 m³ micro-bulk tank that holds up to 1,083 kg of liquid oxygen. Both are vacuum-insulated stainless steel vessels from Hong Hui Machinery, for which FGR Online is the registered distributor for Southern Africa.

Can the tank be moved by forklift?

The 1,000 L liquid cylinder is built inside a steel frame for forklift handling, and the micro-bulk tank stands on a base frame. The design package states the lifting points and whether the tank may be moved when full.

Why do breweries need a cryogenic tank?

Breweries add oxygen to cooled wort so yeast can grow before fermentation, use CO2 for carbonation and purging, and use nitrogen for inerting and dispensing. A cryogenic liquid tank replaces banks of high-pressure cylinders with one refillable vessel for the chosen gas.

Do you supply cryogenic tanks outside South Africa?

Yes. We supply breweries and plants across Southern Africa and the wider African market. Freight is quoted with the tank and may be routed through Durban, Maputo, Beira, Walvis Bay or Dar es Salaam, depending on the destination.

What do you need from us to quote?

The gas (oxygen, nitrogen, argon or CO2) and the mass you need (for example 1,000 kg), your daily consumption, the pressure and flow at your existing gas distribution system, the delivery location and any standard your site requires.
