Identifying spare parts: what to send

How to describe a part so the right part is supplied, even when the original manufacturer is hard to reach.

The most common cause of a wrong spare part is a missing detail. Sending the information below with every request makes identification faster and more reliable.

  1. A clear photo of the equipment nameplate, showing make, model and serial number.
  2. The part number from the manual or parts list, if you have it.
  3. Photos of the part itself from several angles, with a ruler or tape measure for scale.
  4. Key dimensions: shaft diameters, bore sizes, bolt patterns, thread sizes.
  5. Material, if known, and the operating conditions the part sees.
  6. The quantity needed and the date it is required.

Where the original part is unavailable, an equivalent may be possible. Any equivalent offered will be identified as such in the quotation.

Have a specification? Send it.

Datasheets, drawings, nameplate photos or a list of part numbers are all useful. Attach them to a quote request, or send them to us on WhatsApp.
